Frequently Asked Questions

  • Following the initial consultation, our tree removal specialist will use specific tools to cut your tree in several sections from top to bottom. This technique ensures more safety than attempting to chop the entire tree from its base. For large trees we do use a crane service to ‘catch’ the tree/limb instead of it crashing to the ground. This helps us minimize any damage to your property. For our larger jobs we may also require the use of a logging truck, wood chippers, sometimes even aerial lift to to haul away large debris.

  • The tree removal process can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to multiple thousands, all depending on various factors including;

    -The height and diameter of the tree

    -Accessibility of the tree

    -Whether you’d like to have the branches removed from your property

    -Whether you’d like your stump ground, etc.

  • While not absolutely necessary, we recommend it for various reasons! Tree stumps can often easily become a breeding ground for pests such as rats, termites, and more, thus giving them an opportunity to invade your home as well.

  • In most cases, no! As long as we/our contractors are given access to the property in need, your presence is not required for the duration of the tree removal process.

  • Although a stately tree towering above your house can provide beauty, shade, and shelter, it can also pose a serious threat to you, your family, or your property. Whether its large roots harming the foundation of your home and causing cracking, branches and leaves on the roof contributing to rot, or just the hazard of strong winds and old limbs; we can help you decide a plan of action for your unique situation. The closer to your home that the tree is, the more care and technique is required. Our licensed professionals are here to help you make the best decision for your home!

  • Yes! Surface roots can be unsightly and present a definite tripping hazard. We can grind surface roots to the ground and rid you of another property hassle.

  • Usually we grind the stump to 16 inches below the ground, thus allowing any new plantings the room and opportunity to grow over the same area. We can also perform a more shallow grind…

  • We will take care of it! We fill any bare areas with dirt, chips, and other debris to ensure your grounds are just as gorgeous as before!

  • The answer to that question is simple: because we care about our customers. We’re not looking to merely chop down trees or trim some branches. We set out to be the best customer service company in the industry while improving the environment. Tree service is simply the way we accomplish that goal. That means we always appear at your home ready to offer our upfront prices with a friendly smile.

  • If your tree has fallen over, whether it was due to a storm or shallow roots, TLC provides emergency assistance! Fallen trees need to be removed as soon as possible, particularly when one has fallen onto your home or other structures. Contact us for Emergency Services, ASAP.

  • We’ll help you figure out if the tree can be saved. We will likely start by NOT cutting anything else for a while. In a year or two we’ll start selectively thinning limbs in an effort to rebuild and restore the new canopy. We call it a crown restoration and that’s what happens after bad tree trimmers “top” trees. DON’T ever top your trees.

  • Yes, but we don’t just offer Oklahoma residential tree trimming; we also offer tree removal. With our residential tree removal services, we can help you resolve any issues and solve any problems. Need a tree removed that looks dead? We can help with that. Need a tree removed that may not make it through the storm season? We can help with that.

  • Taking care of the trees on your property, whether it’s residential or commercial property, is important because, without the proper care, trees can become hazardous to the property and to themselves.

  • We’ll help you determine what limbs can be cut. If so much of the tree needs to removed that it puts your trees health at risk, it may be better to remove the tree and stump out entirely. We won’t take that step unless it is the only option. Don’t let the gardener or regular contractors make this decision. They’ll usually cut whatever is in their way without regard to what you’re going to have to do in the future to maintain the tree, and may not be aware of the health or safety impact they are making on the tree and everything around it.

  • Our first line of thinking would be to thin out the tree to allow more sunlight to penetrate the canopy. Keep in mind that trees NEED leaves to live. If we need to thin the tree out beyond 30% then a tree removal may be needed to save your garden. Having a garden under a tree is just a BAD idea.
